Poem: Mistake

This is a dark poem about a girl who commits suicide. This inspiration for this poem came from the large number of teen suicides recently due to bullying and other problems. This poem is dedicated to anyone who's ever felt like they have no way out: I promise it will get better one day, do not give up. You are loved and not alone. xx

Mistake

See that girl with bright eyes?
When no one looks
her mascara stain her cheeks.
The girl who smiles at every stranger
cries herself to sleep.

She cries each day,

wont let it show.
They think she's fine
but they don't know.
It hurts so bad,
she feels all alone.

She says she won't give up

but her faith is fading.
Trying not to let go
but her rope is breaking.
She puts her make-up on
to disguise her fears,
but in her room
she's wiping tears.

She wants to let go,

reach the other side.
In all her darkness
maybe that's her only light.
She puts a brave face on
for the world to see,
but what they don't
is the hurt underneath.

She said she'd try to be stronger,

but everyday got more harder
And in the darkness
her bright light came.
She let the fears go away.

She'd heard it before,

and as her eyes closed
she knew it too.
Her life was just a mistake.

As Told By Ashley #1

You know the feeling you get when your blog is read by others? Just a few reads makes you feel heard and appreciated. I just saw that some people from somewhere else in the world have read my blog, and trust me, it does wonders to the self-esteem. I'm not getting too full of myself or anything because I barely get like 10 views a post and 0 followers, but I'd just like to say that I am very grateful for every single read. I wanted to see if I could be a blogger, and maybe one day a professional blogger/writer, which is why I created this in the first place. So yeah, thanks to everyone who even glances at this blog :) x

Getting back to life, who else feels that 2012 just went by in the blink of an eye? Even 2013 seems to be going by shockingly fast. Whether the fault is in the lack of adventure in my life, or whether it is because god decided to hit 'fast-forward', I'll never know. In a way, this is a good thing. I have to give my GCSE boards this year, so faster it ends, the better.

However, sometimes I wish something unpredictable would happen, just to make life interesting. Maybe a random chance to go somewhere awesome on vacation or a date? I mean, a lot of my friends are in relationships now, and it makes me feel a bit lonely at times. Just to clear this up, by no means am I saying that a girl cannot live without a boyfriend, but this girl can't help wonder what it would be like to actually have one. Too bad the guys in my grade are all either far too immature, or players. Why can't those sweet, caring, beautiful fictional guys really exist? And if they do, where are they hiding?! My guy best friend says my expectations are too high, but to be honest, I don't really care about the looks as long as the person is genuine and romantic. Dear guy BFF, I don't think that's too much to ask!

Ranting about guys aside, I'd just like to spend some time to acknowledge the fact that this year may in fact be a bit eventful. The releases of Sea Of Monsters, Catching Fire and all those other sequels and movies has got me quite pumped up. I'm admitting, I am a movie lover. Well, an "anything-fictional lover" to be precise. So yeah, at least got that to look forward to before 2013 goes by too.

For those wondering why I am randomly writing all this, I'd just like to say, suck it up cause it's my blog. And while my life may not seem that interesting, I might end up famous one day and then you'll be happy you read this. LOL, just kidding, I'll probably be one of those average people. Unless, I end up becoming a travel journalist. In that case, I'll have the best time ever, be jealous :P Anyway,  I guess I've tired everyone enough now so toodles! (I don't really say that often, but it seems like a fun word to use.)

PS: If you actually read all of this, cheers to you for being THE awesomest person ever!

The Airhead series Dream Cast

Every single person who has read the Airhead series by Meg Cabot and liked it, can all agree on one thing: WE NEED MOVIES!!! The books were just fab, so WHO wouldn't want to see it on the big screen? Problem is though, nobody seems to be making the movies. I don't even know why, it's not like the books aren't a hit, cause they totally are. So seriously, hurry up, hollywood! Anyway, till the time some producer decides to grant our wish, I've decided to create my own casting for the characters! Read on and tell me what you think :) x

Emerson Watts: Anna Kendrick

Well, she's got the geeky cute look and isn't too girly looking, so I think she'd be perfect for Em.

Nikki Howard: Taylor Swift or Sara Paxton
Both are gorgeous, skinny blondes who would be perfect to play the glamourous model, Nikki Howard.

Christopher Maloney: Logan Lerman
Okay, so he's got the boy-next-door charm , he's got the face AND he can look oh-so-adorable with any of our Nikkis or Ems, gotta love Logan!

Brandon Stark: Alex Pettyfer
Call me obsessed, but he is literally so perfect for the hot, popular guy role. And he's got the face and body of a guy who could be those sexy celebrities, so kinda perfect for  Brandon.

Lulu Collins: Nina Dobrev or Lilly Collins (not just because of her closeness to the name)
They both have the cute, brunette girly girl look hands-down, and besides, I love how Lilly Collins's name is so close to Lulu Collins

Frida Watts: Isabelle Furham
She's young, she's cute, but still looks like a girl who likes being popular.

Robert Stark: David Duchovny
He looks mean enough, and he's good-looking enough to be Brandon's dad.

Steven Howard: Lucas Till
Admit it, his features are very identical to the 2 chosen Nikkis, AND he looks buff enough to be part of the Navy! I'm a bit jealous of Lulu now haha

Gabriel Luna: Sam Claflin

Duh, he's hot, he's British AND he's a luscious brunette. Enough said.

Dee Dee Howard: Resse Witherspoon
She's got the family looks, and she's got the motherly feel. perfect!

Felix Maloney: Joey Luthman
He's geeky, he's a teenager. And he doesn't look all that bad either

PS: hope you liked this casting, if any suggestions, leave them in the comments! Also, all characters belong to Meg Cabot :) x
